PREVALENSI KARBAPENEM RESISTEN PADA BAKTERI BASIL GRAM NEGATIF DI RS. GRHA KEDOYA
Carbapenems are beta-lactam antibiotics, included in the third-line class of antibiotics, which are the last choice in therapy for various bacterial infections. The more use of antibiotics that are not in accordance with the clinical situation, the more cases of resistant carbapenems found in hospitals. This study aims to analyze Gram negative bacteria, which are resistant to carbapenem antibiotics in the hospital. Grha Kedoya for the period January to March 2022 using an observational analytical research design for bacterial identification and antibiotic sensitivity tests using colorimetric and turbidimetric methods with a cross sectional study design. The material for the examination was that all samples were infected with 174 Gram-negative bacteria. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive crosstabs. The results showed that there were 32 samples of resistant carbapenems (18,4%), 16 patients (50%) of Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and 8 patients (25%), each of Klebsiella pneumoniae were found. in the elderly as many as 26 samples (81,3%), and in patients with male sex as many as 23 samples (71,9%). Resistance test showed 100% resistance to antibiotics Doripenem, Imipenem, Meropenem and Ertapenem.
