HUBUNGAN ANTARA UJI ANTIGEN NON-STRUCTURAL 1 (NS1) DENGAN JUMLAH TROMBOSIT PADA PASIEN SUSPEK DEMAM BERDARAH DENGUE (DBD) DI KLINIK DR. RUDI AZHARUDDIN
Dengue hemorrhagic fever is an acute fever caused by the dengue virus which is transmitted from human to human through the bite of the Aedes aegypti and Ae. albopictus. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the non-structural 1 antigen test and the number of platelets in patients with suspected dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF). NS1 antigen is a non-structural glycoprotein produced by all types of flavivirus with a molecular weight of 46-50 kD. This antigen can be detected in DHF patients on day 3 to day 5 since the onset of clinical symptoms of dengue. In cases of DHF, thrombocytopenia can also occur. This research was conducted at dr. Rudi Azharuddin Clinic in December – March 2022. The number of study samples was 30 people. Ns1 antigen examination is carried out by the rapid immunochromatographic method and platelet count with a hematology analyzer. The research data is taken from the patient's medical records. The spearman correlation test regarding the relationship between the results of the non-structural antigen test 1 and the number of platelets in patients suspected of dengue hemorrhagic fever obtained a p value of -0.719 which means that both variables have a strong correlation and the relationship between the results of the non-structural antigen test 1 and the number of platelets in patients suspected of dengue fever has a significant relationship. The direction of these two variables is negative or in the opposite direction which means that if the non-structural antigen result 1 is positive then the platelet count result is low and if the non-structural antigen result 1 is negative then the platelet count is normal or increases.
